Napoleon’s Eagles is a strategic simulation of the Napoleonic Wars, based on the popular board game War & Peace by Marc McLaughlin. Avalon Digital has brought this classic to life on your computer. You can play solo against the AI or team up in multiplayer mode. Play as Napoleon or other famous generals leading armies through key battle across Europe Egypt and Russia. There are various historical scenarios and campaigns and you can even fight naval battles at sea.
The game features a turn based system with each turn representing one month. You control armies made up of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, with generals leading each force. The game include different maps weather zones and major cities and you can command forces from all the major Napoleonic power. There’s also a production system to create reinforcements during the grand campaign. The game offer a simple guide to help new player learn the rule and strategie.
The Grand Campaign covers the entire Napoleonic Wars, but it’s only available in multiplayer mode for now, as the AI for such a large campaign is still being improved. The game also has several smaller scenario that you can play solo or against a friend. Future updates will improve the AI and add more solo scenario. Originally published in 1980, War & Peace has evolved over time, and Avalon Digital adapted the 6th edition into Napoleon’s Eagles.
