In this game, the puzzle-solving mechanic with the small mouse friend is redesigned, letting players switch to being Quintus whenever needed. Alan and Quintus now have two more mouse friends with special powers, like electricity and fire, to help solve puzzles.
The dangers are greater, so Alan must fight using items like bats or pipes. He can also get help from his mouse friends during battles.
