You have to look at each scene carefully and check everything on site. There are no hints or help. Write down anything that seems importants and note your suspicions as you go through the crime scene. Put all the pieces together to understand what happened and the connection betweens the criminals and their victims. Your tools are your sharp eyes smart thinking and real life knowledge. Sometimes you wo not have all the evidence which makes it hard to find the best solution. You might have 70% of the evidence, but the other 30% is missing. In terms of gameplay, Scene Investigators is quite different from our first game, The Painscreek Killings. TPK focuses a lot on the story and has a simple system where players continue their investigation when they find a clue. Scene Investigators on the other hand, focuses a lot on sharp observation filling in gaps looking for hidden motives and making different assumptions to solve the case. In short The Painscreek Killings is a story heavy game while Scene Investigators is all about deduction and reasoning.
